Mama Knows Social was founded by Jenny Neville, a professionally trained social media manager.

After years of experience of working with children and families, Jenny successfully turned her hand to business and set up a service for parents, Mama Knows Best. Passionate about business and, in particular, the use social media for business, Jenny upskilled with Digital Mums, an innovative and intensive live learning programme.

Jenny launched Mama Knows Social after graduating from the Social Media Marketing: Associate Programme.

Why focus on mums?

We are passionate about all things social media, business, flexible working and motherhood. So we created a social media solution to reflect this.

The reason why we focus on marketing to mums is simple. Mothers are the gateway to sales, with women making 85% of purchasing decisions in a household*. And when you think that over 70% of women in the world aged 15+ are mothers, that’s almost 2 billion women**  – and a lot of buying power!

We support mums in business

We don’t just market to mums either. We also support mums who are setting up and embarking on their own entrepreneurial journey.

There has been a recent boom in the number of mums choosing to become their own boss and look after their children at the same time. According to the Office for National Statistics, the number of self-employed women grew by over 167,000 in the last two years.

Today there are over 1.5 million ‘mumpreneurs’ established in the UK, and their numbers are rising fast!*** With this in mind we identified a need for social media solutions that empower businesses marketing to mums, and mums running their own businesses.
